This was our first cruise with Princess and it will NOT be our last! The ship was clean, and in fantastic condition. We loved the entertainment in the Piazza with the ship's band. Having the international cafe nearby was awesome for snacks, sandwiches and coffee while enjoying the shows. Dining room was great too, although a couple nights didn't feature anything on the menu that interested us so we opted for the buffet. Do not miss Alfredo's! Amazing salad and the best pizza! Princess Plus was definitely worth the cost for us. Our room was on deck 12. A little smaller than other ships we've been on but it was impeccably clean and well cared for. Embarkation and disembarkation went really smoothly. The theater shows didnt really interest us, and the two we went to were kind of duds in our opinion. The conservatory pool area was beautiful and became a favorite hangout. Our fellow cruisers were lively and sociable. We enjoyed the more respectful and less rowdy atmosphere than some other ships we've sailed. Definitely recommend Princess, and Majestic for sure!
Activities were abundant - do as much or as little as you'd like. Service across the board was excellent - bars, dining all. The entertainment was top notch, always music of some sort somewhere. Lots of entertainment in the piazza from games (crew vs. guests) to dance lessons to exercise. Embarkation was fine although having to get through the initial security of scanning was a bit much; however, the "green lane" was wonderful! Cabin was spacious (mini-suite) and balcony serene. Everything was very clean. Our cabin steward was very friendly without being overbearing. We had excellent service in all the restaurants and speciality dining was amazing although after paying the upcharge for the meal, an additional $20 service charge did not make us happy, would we do it again? not sure but probably. There were very few children and we felt bad for those as it was mostly an older crowd although many were very lively! Disembarkation was fine until everyone got outside the terminal, then it was a nightmare. Oh, the group had a meet and mingle and the ship's officers were there and made us feel quite special with introductions and drinks served.
