Recently returned from our 7-Day Royal Princess TAS/Melb cruise 30Nov-7Dec Sydney roundtrip. It was our 3rd Princess cruise & second of 2024, and our 23rd cruise in total. I make some points: - Embarking was very fast & we were soon on the ship after shuttle drop-off before noon, having a light lunch in the buffet before dropping our carry-on in our cabin. Our luggage was already at our room when we got there, so we were all unpacked well before sailaway. - We had a deluxe balcony stateroom mid-aft starboard on deck 10 (Caribe). Room was excellent & location, just aft of the middle lifts/stairs, was perfect for us. - We found the ship very much to our liking, pretty well identical to Majestic that we were on in March. - The staff encountered were very pleasant and very enthusiastic to please. Rarely was there any crowding, even with some poor weather which kept a lot indoors at times. - We had Standard fare only, so no drink or internet packages, but it all worked well for us & our on-board bill was within budget - Our cabin steward (Kevin from Indonesia) was excellent & our dining room waiter (Sernard from Philippines) was fun, friendly and did a great job in dining room (Allegro). - Always easy to get a drink or something to eat around the ship. Our waitress Cherry in Crooners was excellent, always keeping us hydrated. - We did breakfast & lunch in buffet & dinner in the Allegro dining room. - We thought the food overall, choice & quality, was mostly good, but perhaps there could have been a little more variety. - Our ports were Hobart, Port Arthur & Melbourne. We stayed on-board in Melbourne as the time in port was cut to 3pm all aboard, it was a very hot day and we have been to Melbourne a number of times. - The theatre shows were really good, as were the guest singers, including the Adele show. - We did many trivias etc (even managed to win one!) & enjoyed our time as a team of just the 2 of us. - Travelling as just the 2 of us meant that on this cruise we met a lot of interesting and friendly people from all around the world. - Disembarking worked well (very well organised) & we were soon back on land - Very pleasant cruise and we were sad it all ended so quickly. We look forward to our future cruises.

The Princess Luxury Bed is available across the fleet except for Regal Princess, where most staterooms have been updated. On Regal Princess all Full Suites and Club Class staterooms have been updated and we are continuing to convert the few remaining beds.
