Ship Reviews

My sisters and I sailed on the Enchanted from January 6-16, 2026. Since one of my sisters is disabled we had no problem embarking. We had lunch in the MDR which was good. After that we found our accessible mini-suite which was beautiful and spacious. The ship is about seven years old and in some places is showing its age. The cabin carpet needed a good cleaning but everything else was good. We all thought the MDR food was blah. The night we had prime rib we ordered medium and received what looked like end cuts full of only fat and gristle. It was inedible. We should have sent it back but that would have delayed our meal. Some nights there was nothing on the menu that interested us so we ate in the buffet which was surprisingly better than the dining room. Our waiters in the MDR were wonderful though. We ate one night at Rudi’s which was disappointing. It was my sister’s birthday and we expected an outstanding meal to celebrate. We always eat at least one night at Rudi’s on all the Princess cruises we’ve been on and it was always an exceptional meal. We had a 5 pm reservation and when we arrived most of the dining room was empty but they wanted to seat us by the waiters station which was a small space and not good for someone in a wheelchair. I asked if we could be seated at one of the windows but the maître d’ told us that was a table for six and they couldn’t seat us there. After he consulted with the waiter and front desk they let us sit there. During our meal it never got to crowded in the restaurant that this would have been a problem. I had the seafood soup for appetizer and Halibut for main course. The soup was bland and didn’t have much flavor. The halibut was overcooked and dry. Didn’t do any of the activities on the ship as we like to find a quiet place to read and look at the ocean. There is no library on the ship but they have a book exchange in the Crown Grill where you can leave a book and pick up another one. There wasn’t a good selection though. The ports were good but we had been to most of them before so we would just get off the ship and walk around a bit. Entertainment was ok. Two excellent bands played in the atrium every night. The shows didn’t look that interesting to us. Disembarking was easy. We were going to get on the Star Princess the next day so we stayed one night at the Courtyard Downtown. Highly recommend as was very comfortable and close to restaurants. This was our second cruise on the Enchanted and didn’t live up to our first one in 2021. As usual, the crew we interacted with were always helpful and smiling.

Everything was pretty great except three things. One disappointing thing was the entertainment. I've sailed on another Princess cruise and the entertainment was over-the-top good. This cruise was bluh at best. Another disappointment was that there seemed to be a lot of employees in customer service positions who had a hard time understanding English. I appreciate that English isn't everyone's first language l, but in customer service jobs I don't think I should have to figure out 5 different ways to say something for an employee to understand. Princess can really help employees out in this category. Third disappointment was Princess Cays. Chairs were filthy, many missing straps, or were broken, and there was a lack of umbrellas. The place needed upkeep. Further, it was not explained to us that the BBQ was part of it so we ended up paying for horrible food. Princess customer service responded "oh well".
