This thrill-packed ship has endless ways to fill your days between scenery scoping and whoa-worthy memory making. From the shriek inducing Tidal Wave℠, the first boomerang style slide at sea to kid favorite Splashaway Bay℠. Plus the coolest ice rink entertainment and mouthwatering meals at every turn.
Overall boarding experience was smooth. Staff was great. Overall plenty of things to do. Ship was clean and well maintained. Food on the other hand not so great. Main dining room food was subpar compared to other ships and cruise lines. Not a good selection. 1/4" NY strip on the menu every night. Chicken parm was a highly processed chicken patty (pretty gross). We were a party of 18 and there was one night we all skipped dinner due to the menu. The other issue was that you had to really search for your included free food. Most ships have their pizza stations close to Cafe. Cafe on 11th floor, pizza on 5th floor. We were under the assumption Johnny Rockets was part of our package only to find out that it was just the milk shakes that were included and i think that was 12th floor. Cafe Promenade where "some things" were included on 5th floor. Most of our party felt like they nickel and dimed you. Popcorn station around ships on pool floor and outside shows but they charged you $2.50 for a small popcorn. You could get a free ice cream cone but all other ice cream was another additional charge. Windjammer Cafe for breakfast and lunch had basically same food every day. Overall I liked the activities onboard and staff was excellent. Food menu and selection of food would probably be the reason I would not take this ship again
I was part of a group of 200 for a Weight loss support nonprofit. Third cruise on either a Freedom or Voyager class ship. I was impressed with the quality of food and service. MDR Tappan and Jennilyn were great at spoiling us. We ate first night in Chops grill, the fillet was perfect as was dessert wait staff was great here as well as MDR. Johnny Rockets lunch burger and endless onion rings, once again great waitstaff the smiley face in catsup was a nice touch . Room was a little tight we were in the middle of deck 7 could not walk around the bed. Never stay in the room anyway so was not that big of a deal. Prefer the promenade view room on these classes of ship. Room steward kept it very clean and asked first day what time of day we preferred to have him clean the room. Always greeted us in the hallway. Ship did not really show it's age , windows always clean, maintenance was being done while in ports, never saw and elevator out of service but they were busy. Would cruise on Liberty again possibly around thanksgiving.
Food and entertainment was very good. We ate at the main restaurant all 3 nights and the food and service was excellent. Manish and Joram took really good care of us. Calvin and his crew were also good at Johnny Rockets. The magician, Jadel, at breakfast had us all laughing. We went on an excursion to a private island which was nice where they also fed us lunch. Coco Cay island was nice and there was plenty of food for everyone. We were a party of eight that all agreed that this was a fun time. There were plenty of stores on the boat to buy whatever you needed from alcohol to clothes to toiletries. The boat was clean and the buffet area had plenty of sanitizer to go around. We did Karaoke, Bingo and swam in the outdoor pool. The band at the pool was very entertaining and enjoyed by all.
