Overall an excellent cruise. Nothing but high praise for the crew. The food for the most part was excellent as usual. Only disappointments were in the Windjammer I couldn't get my normal grilled tomatoes and avocado toast. I know it's a little wah wah, just wanted to whine a bit. Also the scheduling of shows and my time dining, twice had to force the decision of eating in the main dining room or going to the show. That is a decision I shouldn't have to make. MY TIME Dining has always and should always be MY TIME, not theirs. Also, in the main dining room, the menu has changed that removes my favorite appetizers from the every night, to once, and some of my favorite meals altogether. The entertainment was superior. Production shows were in the top 5 of all my cruises. It was disappointing that I had to choose, main dining room or show. Oh hard to believe that some shows only went on once. Thus forcing the choice.
Embarkation was a breeze, we were onboard before 11 am! The ship was in excellent condition and does not show her age. The crew were awesome, always friendly and eager to assist. Bar attendants were plentiful. MDR food was very good, service super friendly, attentive and fast. The Windjammer offered a changing variety of food especially for lunch and dinner. Chops, Giovanni's and Izumi were also excellent. The variety of food on this ship was incredible. Snack's served at Latitudes and Solarium were also very good. The ocean view stateroom we had on deck 3 was very clean and well kept. Entertainment was enjoyable and activities abundant. I can't think of anything negatives of our 9 night cruise. I would repeat this ship and even the same itinerary in a heartbeat. I highly recommend Serenade of the Seas for a smaller ship experience in a well maintained vessel which offers a lot of space and amenities considering her size.
